About Us

We are affiliated with the United Messianic Jewish Assembly (UMJA).

We are unashamedly and unapologetically a Messianic Jewish Fellowship

pursuing the Torah of love as reflected in the

holy life and walk of our Messiah Yeshua (Jesus).

"Torah Pursuant" means that we believe that Yeshua (Jesus) did NOT abolish the Torah ("Teaching") and neither did His original disciples.

We believe that the Torah is the standard of holiness and love to BOTH  the Jewish and non-Jewish believers in Him (Romans 7:12)!

This means that though we do NOT obtain our righteousness from the Torah, the Torah DOES show us how to walk a sanctified (holy) and spiritual walk (Romans 7:14), empowered by the Ruach haKodesh (Holy Spirit) as did Yeshua.

  • Our Fellowship consists of Jewish and non-Jewish believers in Yeshua HaMashiach, (Jesus the Messiah) which draws from two great faith traditions, Judaism and Christianity.  It is our constant endeavor to examine both traditions in the light of G-d’s Holy Word to sift out error.

  • We are not part of the Hebraic Roots Movement.

  • Our Fellowship is not of the “Two House” or Ephraimite” movements, nor do we have any affiliation with the modern day “Kairite” or “Sacred Name” movements.

  • We are a chartered organization with United Messianic Jewish Assembly.

  • Central to our focus is the Jewish Messiah Yeshua, (Jesus) as Lord and King.  As a result, we encourage modest dress as an example before the Lord. Try to refrain from wearing shorts and jeans.

  • We observe the Biblical Feast Days, 7th day Sabbath and Holy Days.

  • We believe that the spiritual gifts and manifestations that were present in the first century are to be essential to the edification of our body.  All things are to be done decently and in order.  If you feel you have something to share, please check with one of the leadership or the pastor.  What you have to share is important.  Please also know that any given tongue, interpretation or prophecy will be discerned and judged by those with the Gift of Discernment in our body.

MISSION STATEMENT

Our mission is to return back to the ancient paths (Jeremiah 6:16) by being grafted into the Olive Tree of faith (Romans 11) and coming together as Jews and Non-Jews as the One New Man (Ephesians 2).

STATEMENT OF FAITH

So that we may have unity among us, know and speak the same foundations of our faith, and have integrity in presenting our witness of Yeshua (Jesus) the Messiah, we hereby establish that Beth Shalom Messianic Fellowship holds to...
